QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or related fields.
• Minimally 5 years’ of relevant working experience.
• Solid knowledge of Java programming language is indispensable.
• Good knowledge of the Spring framework.
• Solid knowledge of SQL to be able to write complex queries (SQL Server).
• Rest API design and development.
• Knowledge of clean and tested code writing.
• Willing to work in (pick up) other programming languages and technology frameworks where appropriate. In particular C#.
• Good troubleshooting skills to find out root cause of issue and provide valuable suggestions to resolve the problem.
• Good ability to translate business requirements into technical solution with good design & supportability.
• Experience in Software Development Life Cycle e.g. Agile.
• Good communication skills, especially when engaging with different stakeholders.
• A team player and ability to work with global teams effectively.
• Ability to work under pressure and dealing with constraints.
• Strong discipline in documentation.
• Knowledge of front, middle and back office processes and functional design on commodity trading – including deal representation (both physical & financial), MTM pricing, logistics, settlement, accounting and controls (Plus).
• Knowledge of BDD approach (ideally with cucumber) (Plus).
• Ability to speak in French in order to communicate with French-speaking stakeholder (Plus).
• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure and Azure DevOps (Plus).

ROLE SUMMARY

We are seeking a developer who is eager to work on FinOps, including Back Office, Accounting, and Finance operations. While prior expertise is not a requirement, the ideal candidate should be willing to learn and grow in these areas. The candidate should possess a strong desire to explore various aspects of the business and engage with stakeholders on a regular basis.
In this role, you will join the APAC Development team based in Singapore. Your primary responsibility will be to work directly with FinOps business users, providing them with daily system support and operational assistance. Additionally, you will be translating their business requirements into effective IT solutions.
The main application you will be working on is built on a Java framework. However, there may be a few other applications that require proficiency in multiple programming languages, such as C# (.Net) and Python.
