We are currently seeking a Java Full Stack Developer (Onsite) to join our team in Halifax, Nova Scotia (CA-NS), Canada (CA).
We are seeking to hire a squad of 8 people to work within our existing team of software engineers, analysts, and product managers to continue build out a new product. This application is designed to provide a quick, easy way for qualified participants to easily give directly to the charities of their choice. Each team member will be responsible for ensuring that we deliver an appealing and modern high-quality product to our customers. Our team operates much like a start-up using a modern tech stack and staying on top of industry standards and best practices. In this role, you will be responsible for the leading, engineering & developing quality software components and applications for brokerage products. You will build, modernize, and maintain web applications. You will also apply and adopt variety of cloud-native technologies for the products. In addition to building software, you will have an opportunity to help define and implement development practices, standards and strategies.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• 6+ years of full stack development experience.
• Practiced Agile Processes (Scrum/Kanban).
• Experience applying Software Engineering Architecture and Design Patterns (OO, Functional, REST)
• Experience with API design & Development.
• Knowledge of Java and Spring Boot
• Knowledge of SQL, Relational Database (Oracle) and Object Relational Mapping (Hibernate).
• Knowledge of JavaScript, Angular 14+, and TypeScript
• Understanding of NgRx and RxJS are a bonus.
• Relational Database experience, Oracle preferred.
• Experience writing unit tests, integration/api tests, and e2e test.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in a technology related field (e.g. Computer Science, Engineering, etc.) required.

• Experience building and consuming REST APIs
• Experience with testing tools like jUnit, Cucumber, and Selenium Passion for engineering excellence and continuous improvement
• Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to learn and experiment with new technologies and patterns
