Description:
Our Travelstart team is looking for a Junior Front-end Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst for our Development environment!
As a Front-end QA Analyst in our Development team at Travelstart, you will ensure the quality and functionality of your designated front-end platforms. You will conduct detailed manual end-to-end testing, identify and document bugs, and work closely with both backend and front-end development teams to resolve issues.
REQUIREMENTS
- Previous experience in QA (1-3 years), particularly in a manual front-end testing role.
- Familiarity with Jira or similar bug-tracking tools.
- Basic understanding of backend and frontend development processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in an agile team environment.
- Travel industry experience is beneficial but not required.
- Knowledge of SaaS platforms and B2B applications.
- Experience writing and executing acceptance tests.
- Understanding of agile methodologies and practices.
- Ability to quickly learn new tools and technologies.
- Ability to work to tight delivery deadlines.
- Detail-oriented with a passion for ensuring high-quality deliverables.
- Min qualification of Matric/NQF4 or equivalent.
- A Tertiary Software Development qualification would be beneficial - e.g. IBSQ
- Previous experience in the Travel environment like OTA’s, would be an advantage.

Responsibilities:
- Manual End-to-End Testing:
- Conduct thorough testing of new features and updates to ensure they meet quality standards and function as intended.
- Acceptance Test Writing:
- Develop comprehensive acceptance tests to verify that all requirements are met before deployment.
- Bug Triage and Logging:
- Manage the triage process for incoming bugs and issues, ensuring they are accurately documented and tracked on the Jira board.
- API Testing:
- Use Postman to test APIs, ensuring they are robust, reliable, and meet specifications.
- Client Liaison:
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, addressing their concerns, providing support, and ensuring their satisfaction with the platform.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with backend and frontend development teams to diagnose and resolve issues, ensuring seamless integration and functionality.
- Agile Participation:
- Actively participate in agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives, contributing to continuously improving team processes.
- Client Training and Onboarding:
- Assist in training and onboarding new clients to the platform, providing them with the necessary knowledge and support to use our services effectively.
