QUALIFICATIONS

  • University degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience. Post-secondary courses in computer forensics and security, cloud architecture and security would be an asset.
  • ITIL Best Practice certification.
  • Progressively responsible experience in Information Systems and Technology in a medium to large sized data center and network security and design environment.
  • Microsoft products, such as Windows Operating Systems, Messaging and Collaboration, Office Productivity Suites, Security Product Suites, VMWare Virtual Infrastructure such as ESXi, and VDI, and monitoring solutions, and Enterprise storage and IaaS/PaaS/SaaS solutions.
  • Progressive responsible experience in disaster recovery planning.
  • In-depth knowledge of data centers and networking environments, with business continuity and disaster recovery planning.
  • Strong understanding of IT security and compliance.
  • Demonstrated experience defining system requirements and preparing specifications and architectural designs for the integration, implementation and support of communications technologies into the existing network infrastructure.
  • Superior knowledge of MS-Visio with the ability to create large complex multi-layered Layer 2 & 3 diagrams and network and application/technology flow diagrams.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills along with excellent documentation and report writing ability.
  • Ability to be flexible with work schedules for updates and installations of hardware/software products.
  • Well-developed communication skills. Demonstrated ability to communicate with internal, external staff.

Responsibilities:

SUMMARY OF DUTIES

Reporting to the Supervisor, Infrastructure & Operations the Infrastructure Solutions Analyst is responsible for developing, designing, validation and providing support on existing and new infrastructure solutions. This role is responsible for understanding business needs and collaborating with other technology stakeholders to deliver high quality, technology based, business solutions. The Infrastructure Solutions Analyst is a member of the Datacentre Operations team focused to mature and streamline intake process, and the service delivery of solutions for Infrastructure and Operations and organizational stakeholders.
This position is responsible for and has access to confidential / sensitive data and management.
