About the Role
In this role, you will work on the world’s leading cross-platform C++ framework, where you will contribute to developing solutions that make life easy for application developers on many platforms, from embedded to desktop and mobile. Since Qt is open source, you will also benefit from working with the global community. This is reflected in our work, we are cooperative, and provide great mentoring, growing, and learning together in a friendly environment.
In this role, you will join the foundation team, right at the heart of Qt. We care about the internals that are the basis for all of Qt. Our responsibilities include the meta-object system and reflection, containers, and integration with the STL, and the network stack.
You will
Write robust, modern C++ code
Work independently, managing your tasks and projects
Focus on quality: continuous integration, testing, and code reviews
Contribute to maintaining a large code base
Work closely with colleagues, both within the company and in the broader Qt community
Work with publicly available code and materials
Do cross-platform development to a relevant extent for the product
Regularly use software engineering practices such as debugging, profiling, version control, and automated testing
Regularly provide reviews and feedback on different topics
Work on existing code across the product and on an architectural level
Collaborate across different teams and products
Communicate with customers/users and contributors (when applicable)
About You
Knowledge of Linux, Windows, or macOS systems
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Be curious and creative to solve challenges and tasks
Be interested in software design and architecture
Good understanding of development workflow
Beneficial skills
Ability to lead development projects
Knowledge of Qt and QML
Experience with open-source communities and development
Understanding of SFINAE, CTAD, and ADL in C++ are
Ability to guide others in their development tasks
