Description:
Description: NSI requires a Journeyman Financial Analyst to support PMA 265 PSMI Program Office. The Journeyman Financial Analyst will provide Budgetary Financial Management support. Utilize all applicable modules and reports of Navy ERP to support the planning, budget, funding, execution, and monitoring/improvement processes needed to support the logistics program financial objectives. Through close coordination with the Product Support Manager (PSM), PSTLs, and IPT Leads collect APN-5 requirements; develop and refine APN-5 cost estimates; and develop/maintain APN-5 spend plan. Participate in IPT, Class Desk, APML, and Configuration Management meetings and collaborate with various Field Activities, Military, and Civilian personnel of all ranks and grades to identify and document APN-5 funding requirements and to ensure APN-5 spend plan accurately reflects approved OSIP requirements. Collect, analyze, and compile and present detailed APN-5 budget and cost information in response to data calls. Collaborate with Program Office IPT members daily in support of APN-5 BFM to resolve funding issues and manage emerging requirements. Reconcile APN-5 financial accounts, prepare, coordinate, and facilitate monthly financial reviews for PSM/APML. Prepare customized reports in Navy ERP and CSPT as needed for the Budget/Financial Manager and IPT Leads for financial reviews and tracking financial obligations and expenditures. Manage APN-5 spend plan, track commitments, obligations and expenditures. Reconcile and report financial status of prior year and current year APN-5 funding. Prepare APN-5 funding documents and track status from origination to expenditure and collaborate with Field Activities to reconcile execution discrepancies.
Location: Lexington Park, MD
Education: BS or BA degree preferred.
Allowable Substitution: AA/AS degree with an additional four (4) years of experience OR a high school diploma/GED and an additional eight (8) years of experience.
Experience: At least four (4) years of financial management experience, two (2) of which must be DoN experience in financial management of acquisition and sustainment logistics financial management. Experience with Navy ERP, CSPT, and PMT Government IT Systems highly desirable.
Desirable Skills: Highly proficient with the Microsoft Professional Office Suite including Microsoft Word, Access, Excel, Power Point, and Project; detailed oriented; well-developed written and oral communication skills; ability to read, write and review technical documents, and reports; ability to track and report status of assigned tasking, ability to assess established business processes, identify/document business process problems and recommend business process improvement initiatives; strong team building skills and ability to develop and maintain a highly integrated network of team members required to successfully execute the tasking listed above.
Security Clearance: Secret Clearance is required. Must be a U.S. citizen.
