Job Title: Journeyman - Instrumentation Maintenance Technician
Location: Fort McMurray, Oil Sands Region
- Location: Oil Sands Site
- Schedule: 10 days on, 4 days off (transitioning to 6 on, 1 off)
- Hours: 12-13 hours/day, OT after 8 or 44 hours/week
- Compensation: From $50/hr, DSP candidates $60/hr + OT
- Travel: Flights from Edmonton & Calgary included, plus out-of-province travel allowance!

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Certified Journeyman in Instrumentation and Control Technician (or equivalent).
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, with direct experience in the oil sands industry highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of instrumentation maintenance practices, safety standards, and regulatory compliance.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and software for troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Commitment to teamwork, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel as required.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance on instrumentation equipment, ensuring operational efficiency and safety compliance.
- Diagnose and repair faults in instrumentation systems and equipment.
- Calibrate and configure instrumentation devices to optimize performance.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support project goals and operational requirements.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and standards, promoting a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, contributing to the enhancement of maintenance strategies and practices.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to apprentices and less experienced team members, fostering an environment of learning and development.
