JOB LOCATION: Remote
TRAVEL: Less than 10%

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

As a Junior Cyber Security Analyst, you will be an integral part of our cyber security team, contributing to the organization’s overall security posture. This entry-level role offers a unique opportunity for individuals with a strong interest in cybersecurity and red team activities to gain hands-on experience and build a foundation for a successful career in the field.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE):

Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles, protocols, and technologies.
Familiarity with common security tools and technologies.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Desirable Skills
Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker), or equivalent.
Hands-on experience with red team activities or penetration testing.

Responsibilities:

Security Monitoring
Monitor security alerts and events to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.
Analyze and investigate security incidents, providing timely and accurate reports to senior team members.
Vulnerability Assessment
Conduct regular vulnerability assessments on systems and networks to identify and mitigate potential security risks.
Collaborate with the team to develop and implement mitigation strategies.
Red Team Support
Assist in the planning and execution of red team exercises to simulate cyber-attacks and identify weaknesses in our defenses.
Work closely with senior team members to analyze red team findings and contribute to the development of mitigation plans.
Incident Response
Participate in incident response activities, including detection, analysis, and resolution of security incidents.
Document incident response procedures and contribute to post-incident reports.
Security Awareness
Support efforts to promote cybersecurity awareness among employees through training sessions and communication campaigns.
Provide guidance on best practices for secure computing.
Tool Management
Utilize and maintain cybersecurity tools for monitoring, analysis, and reporting.
Stay informed about the latest cybersecurity tools and technologies.
