Description:

.The Compliance Officer is responsible for providing support on compliance-related matters within the organization by contributing with the affiliate education program on Ethics & Compliance Standards and Ethics & Compliance related risks. The selected candidate will support the identification of ethical risks by guiding employees through global and local processes. This role will support the affiliate’s Legal & Compliance Director ensuring consistent compliance program roll-out and appropriate support throughout the organization. This role is based in Panama City.

Core Job Responsibilities The Junior Compliance officer reports to the affiliate’s Legal & Compliance Director, performs the following: • Collaborate with the reorganization of the Compliance Department. • Actively engage the affiliate collaborators by setting up the tone and cascade global/regional messages to maintain a high level of awareness on ethical business conduct. • Provide support on delivering Compliance related trainings and follow up to ensure a right level of completion. • Support Compliance Director with the on-boarding of new hires.

  • Perform compliance related reviews to determine adequacy of internal controls and to ensure compliance with laws, regulations and internal policies. • Support to create and manage effective action plans in response to audit discoveries and compliance issues. • Act as a proactive business partner to guide the organization in the interaction with different stakeholders (healthcare organization, health care professionals, events organizer etc.) in a compliant manner. • Assist in conducting and coordinating the Compliance Risk Assessment & Monitoring.
  • Support the implementation of Compliance Programs projects, such as, third-party due diligence process and monitoring program. • Prepare and present reports on topics related to Ethics & Compliance matters. Basic Qualifications • Graduate degree in Law, business, pharmacy from a respected, accredited institution • Minimum 2 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry • Minimum 1 years of experience in healthcare compliance • Knowledge of the pharmaceutical compliance environment • Experience interacting with business operations. • Business partner spirit and knowledge of pharmaceutical lifecycle, business-oriented mind-set • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Fluent in English Key Leadership Competencies • Builds strong relationships with peers and cross functionally with partners outside of team to enable higher performance.
