Description:

Bilton Welding and Manufacturing Ltd. is looking for a dependable, goal-driven, and positive JR Project Manager or Project Coordinator to join our team!

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 3 years experience as a Junior Project Manager or Coordinator in a manufacturing role. Consideration of skills such as Instrumentation technician or designer will be considered.
  • Theoretical and practical knowledge of project management processes, workflows, and terminology
  • General understanding of Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID)
  • Ability to research, understand, and apply the concepts and best practices of the Oil & Gas and Manufacturing industry
  • Working knowledge of project management software (Microsoft Project)
  • Strong documenting practices: consistent record keeping, traceable, organized, reporting, and closing the loop
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with managers, employees, and external contacts by building trust, credibility, and rapport
  • Proven ability to work under pressure and independently with limited supervision to fulfill deadlines with a high level of responsibility and accountability for each project
  • Instrumentation and/or controls experience or training is an asset
  • An interest and/or background in process systems and fluid dynamics is an asset

Responsibilities:

  • Review project files and become familiar with the original estimate, plans and specifications.
  • Assist with the planning and implementation of a project through to completion.
  • Coordinate interdepartmental information flow, design and engineering process and materials procurement.
  • Plan, schedule, and report on progress of the project to applicable internal and external stakeholders
  • Assist with project budget, milestones, and scope of work.
  • Assist with change orders, processing and assessing cost and schedule impacts.
  • Utilize tools to track procured material, drawing status, document status, and critical tasks.
  • Ensure a positive client experience through professional service and engagement.
  • Assist in managing commercial aspects of the project including change management.
