Chenega Agile Real-Time Solutions (CARS) was created with the purpose of providing integrated enterprise IT support to Federal customers both CONUS and OCONUS. CARS employs Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) with decades of experience working in the Federal marketplace.
The Jr. System Administrator will be part of an integrated Operations and Sustainment team that provides critical mission support to a DOD customer. The Jr. System Administrator will interface with other engineers co-located at other agency facilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of systems
  • Isolate and resolve problems involving the applications, operating system, hardware, communications, other infrastructure, or any combination as needed
  • Hand off problem reports to appropriate leads like Amazon/C2S, NGA-ESC, etc.
  • Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers
  • Install/load operating system and application software
  • Isolate and resolve hardware and software problems involving the applications, operating system, hardware, communications infrastructure, or any combination of these
  • Troubleshoot, maintain integrity, and configure network components along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance
  • Integrate new technologies into new and existing systems, including the transition and migration of corporate systems
  • SA in the hybrid cloud environment
  • Deploy to multiple security domains, ensure SW baselines are consistent across multiple environments, support data staging/loading activities for test events, and data migration
  • Build out of new hybrid cloud instances (VMs, Storage)
  • Metrics reporting/dashboards on O&S status
  • Tools: GitLab, Service +, Git Repositories, JIRA, Confluence
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and OR
  • Associate degree and 1+ years of experience OR
  • High school diploma or GED and 3+ years of experience in a related field
  • Experience with Tier 1-4 Service Desk
  • SA experience with building unclassified, integrating, testing, and deploying on classified environments on multiple security domains
  • SA experience with integration and deployment of multiple baselines to support internal and Test Organization (IV&V) testing, resolving DRs (Pri 1 and 2), and incorporating fixes in a quick and timely manner
  • Active TS/SCI clearance

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse internal and external stakeholder groups and individuals
  • Friendly presence, helpful attitude, good interpersonal skills, and ability to work well with others
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other Office applications
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications, and experience working in a home office setting as well as the ability to train end users on frequently asked technical issues
  • Ability to provide technical assistance and support over the phone with good phone skills, professional demeanor, and previous customer service experience strongly desired
  • Good problem-solving skills with the ability to visualize a problem/situation and think abstractly to solve it
