JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are looking for a Jr. Web Designer to join our team. This person will assist with designing, developing, and managing our online properties, including our network of websites, e-commerce sites, contest landing pages, email marketing, and business listings. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for UX/UI design and work closely with our senior web developers, brand manager, content marketers, social media strategists, analytics manager, graphic designers, and copywriters.
As a Jr. Web Designer, you will work on a team with middle and senior-level colleagues, with opportunities to increase your skillset and career growth.
Location: Remote, United States
Job Type: Full-time, salary (We are not accepting contract positions)

REQUIRED SKILLS:

1+ years of experience of the following:

• HTML, CSS, JSON, and JavaScript
• Headless CMS like Directus, or comparable platform
• Visual Studio or comparable IDE
• Cloud hosting, such as Cloudflare or comparable platform
• Mailchimp, SendGrid, or comparable ESP platform
• Version Control System like GitHub, GitLab, or comparable system

Familiar or proficient in the following:

• SvelteKit UI framework
• SEO and SEM best practices
• SSL Certificates

DESIRED SKILLS:

• Bachelor’s degree in web design/development, or a related field
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
• Detail oriented, with an eye for quality.
• Ability to work with strict deadlines and tight turnaround times.
• Work in a team environment, have a flexible attitude, and ability to adapt to shifting priorities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate with our on-site managers and other departments.
• Strong time-management
• Copywriting and copyediting skills

• Design, develop, and assist with the management of our websites built on a headless CMS.
• Assist with creating and updating ticket types on our e-commerce sites.
• Assist in the design, development, copywriting, and deployment of external and internal email campaigns.
• Monitor and make updates to our business listings, including updating hours of operation, location descriptions, and location images.
• Create online and social media contest landing pages using our contesting platform.
• Respond to helpdesk tickets and support requests.
• Other duties as assigned.
• A web-based portfolio must be provided for consideration.
