Responsibilities:

THE ROLE:

As a Junior Accountant, you’ll play a valuable role in supporting the team with a broad spectrum of accounting and taxation services, along with developing advisory responsibilities under the guiding supervision of a seasoned manager.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assisting in Tax Compliance: Aid in the preparation of Income Tax Returns, Business Activity Statements (BAS), and associated documents, adhering to Australian tax laws and regulations.
  • Financial Reporting: Contribute to crafting financial statements like profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, ensuring precision and compliance with accounting standards.
  • General Ledger Maintenance: Support in maintaining precise and up-to-date general ledger records, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and discrepancy resolutions.
  • Client Interaction: Engage with clients to collect essential financial information, address inquiries, and offer assistance as needed, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction.
  • Software Proficiency: Utilize accounting software like MYOB, QuickBooks, and Xero to manage client accounts, process transactions, and generate financial reports efficiently.
  • Professional Development: Actively participate in continuous professional development initiatives such as training sessions, seminars, and certifications to enhance technical competencies and knowledge in accounting.
