OVERVIEW

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to join our finance team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will assist in maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and supporting various accounting tasks. This position offers an excellent opportunity for growth and development in the field of accounting.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
  • Minimum 1 year of entry-level accounting experience is required.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Understanding of regional business culture and regulations.
  • The ability to understand and make use of computers and information technology (KF Internal Systems).
  • Certifications and Licenses: None.
  • Software: Microsoft Office programs to a proficient level. Advanced proficiency in Excel is advantageous. Knowledge of accounting software desired.
  • Language skills: Fluency in English, written and verbal.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and general ledger entries.
  • Maintain and update accounting records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and expense reimbursements.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data by reconciling accounts and bank statements.
  • Process invoices, expense reports, and purchase orders in a timely manner.
  • Verify and reconcile discrepancies in financial documents and transactions.
  • Assist in the preparation of payroll and related documentation as needed.
  • Support more senior accountants in generating financial reports and analysis.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting principles, and relevant regulations.
  • Collaborate with auditors during internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and support.
  • Provide general administrative support to the accounting department as required.
  • Assist in maintaining organized and efficient filing systems for financial documents and records.
