JOB DESCRIPTION:
Your team is based in our office in Harlow/Gdansk. They are taking care of the accounting activities for our companies based in France. You can expect a great atmosphere and a lot of interesting challenges, especially at month end. You will be mentored by the other members of the team to develop your accounting knowledge and to gain valuable experience of working within a big organization, with a view to giving you access to career progression.
THE SKILLS THAT WILL HELP YOU TO SUCCEED EVEN MORE (NICE TO HAVE):
- You’ve got basic knowledge of general accounting and reporting processes.
- You’ve got experience with making an accrual, prepaid, balance sheet reconciliation.
- You’ve got ERP knowledge Microsoft AX an advantage.
Responsibilities:
As a Junior Accountant, you will be involved in General Ledger controlling, compliance, and multiple general accounting and reporting activities, along with a range of other financial reconciliation and control tasks as required within the team. You will be given the opportunity to gain experience in the following areas:
- Take part in the month-end financial close procedures including month end journals and helping with accruals and prepayments activities.
- Control the accuracy of a selection of General Ledger accounts for the assigned Arrow companies.
- Help prepare all necessary internal reporting required for both the Europe and US head offices.
- Prepare relevant Sarbanes Oxley controls.
- Help prepare Statutory & Corporate reconciliations.
- Support and be involved with annual audit work.
- Manage the fixed asset register and all related accounting activities, liaising with the Accounts Payable clerks and other business areas where required.
- Prepare any necessary variance analysis for all the above.
- Support other accountants within the team on a variety of tasks in order to meet the total needs of the finance department.
- Involvement with developing new and efficient processes and procedures within the accounting team.
- Provide support and assistance to the Accounting Manager on projects and ad-hoc tasks.
