Description:
The Junior Business Analyst is the key liaison between the commercial and development teams ensuring the successful delivery and ongoing evolution of the PaySpace product. The Junior Business Analyst is entrusted with accurately documenting requirements and acceptance criteria at multiple levels of detail, for a program of work or a specific project. The main objective of the Junior Business Analyst is to ensure that all features and enhancements are designed to provide the most value to our customers, with the least amount of development effort.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- 5+ years PaySpace or other payroll system experience
- Previous experience as a BA is advantageous.
- Formal certification in Business Analysis is advantageous.
- Experience working cross-functionally and with remote team members.

SOFTWARE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Azure DevOps or similar is advantageous.
- Any wireframe or prototype applications are advantageous.
- MS SQL is advantageous.
- MS Office suite

Responsibilities:
- Participate in deep dive sessions with commercial subject matter experts as a means to elicit business logic.
- Responsible for written requirements specifications from initial creation, through change management and solution delivery according to SOP’s set out.
- Accurately document user stories on Azure DevOps for the various development teams detailing the solution to be developed.
- Closely work with the development team and senior members of the team to conceptualize and design the best possible solutions technically and functionally.
- Attend grooming sessions and daily stand-ups to collaborate with the development team where challenges arise and provide the team with the expected behaviour from a user’s perspective.
- Ensure the enablement of a smooth transition and maintenance of the solution into production, working with internal team members and facilitating change requests with the broader team using a defined change management process.
- Provide input into the functional design of a solution.
- Become a PaySpace system black belt ensuring that you are up to date and fully understand the workings of each module.
- Serve and support the business as the functional point of contact for the solution during design and development, working through data and design questions/issues as they arise.
- Work closely with the Quality Assurance team on story definition and execution of a test plan, which will include internal testing and user acceptance testing.
