Description:

POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Civil Engineer to join our team. The Junior Civil Engineer will assist in the planning, design, and construction of civil engineering projects under the supervision of senior engineers. The successful candidate will possess strong technical skills, a willingness to learn, and a passion for civil engineering.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Strong technical skills in civil engineering design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D).
  • Familiarity with engineering principles and practices related to site development, grading, drainage, and utilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Internship or co-op experience in civil engineering is a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist senior engineers in the planning, design, and construction of civil engineering projects.
  • Perform calculations, analysis, and design tasks related to site development, grading, drainage, and utilities.
  • Prepare engineering plans, drawings, and specifications using AutoCAD or other design software.
  • Conduct site investigations and surveys to assess project feasibility and requirements.
  • Assist in the preparation of cost estimates, budgets, and project schedules.
  • Coordinate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Assist in obtaining permits and approvals from regulatory agencies as needed.
  • Perform quality control and assurance inspections to ensure workmanship and materials meet project requirements.
  • Provide support during construction activities, including site visits and inspections.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports, presentations, and documentation related to project planning, design, and construction.
