We are seeking a dedicated and tech-savvy professional to complement our team of data experts and project managers. In this role you will be at the forefront of our business process automation initiatives, equipping Munich Re’s global Life and Health accounting community with state-of-the-art data processing solutions. As such, in your role you will work embedded in project driven teams and will have exciting learning as well as development opportunities.

Your Job

  • Assist in identifying, designing, and implementing solutions with our customers (global LH reinsurance accounting functions) to improve their process execution and infrastructure. Support the stabilization and enhancement of implemented solutions.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of the global automation accounting ecosystem. Aid in the development processes for automation and scaling solutions from the technology side, in line with VAIT guidance.
  • Act as a support partner for our international organization and be operationally engaged to ensure the professional operation and success of the team.
  • Participate in projects/initiatives locally and in the international operation seek opportunities to gain experience in life (re)insurance and actuarial knowledge.
  • Explore new technological solutions relevant to the field. Support projects and act as a knowledge contributor for automation. Share knowledge with the team and provide assistance.

Your Profile

  • University degree in actuarial studies, computer science, mathematics, business administration or equivalent, with interest reinsurance accounting and IT implementations
  • Knowledge in data processing and information technology; Database knowledge, SQL and programming skills (C#, Python, R, …); Practical experience with Power BI and Azure Cloud ETL implementations are an advantage
  • Ability to develop an understanding of complex (re)insurance products and learn to translate their representation into actuarial and accounting systems. Aim to gain familiarity with the SAP based RI Admin systems (BuPa, FS-RI, FS-CD, EDHW) and their integration in other processes.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills with the capacity to support multiple projects simultaneously, effectively prioritizing tasks while fostering a positive, customer-focused attitude as a collaborative and solution-oriented team member with an affinity for agile methodologies and project teamwork.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally. Strong English and German skills, written and spoken;
