REQUIREMENTS:

  • A relevant qualification or some experience in credit underwriting.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate financial information and risk factors.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to interact effectively with clients and colleagues.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality work.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Understanding of financial services industry and regulatory standards.
  • Full working rights in Australia (Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency).

Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyze credit applications from merchants, offering insights and recommendations based on risk assessment and company policies.
  • Assist in the credit risk underwriting process, including data gathering and credit bureau checks.
  • Engage with clients and stakeholders, providing guidance and support throughout the credit application process.
  • Maintain accurate records of credit decisions and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Handle inbound calls, addressing general queries and providing assistance as needed.
  • Support daily collection processes and liaise with merchants regarding payment matters.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in credit underwriting.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of credit risk policies and documentation.
  • Provide guidance and support to colleagues across the organization on credit risk matters.
  • Assist in analyzing portfolio and operational data for strategic decision-making.
