REQUIREMENTS:
- A relevant qualification or some experience in credit underwriting.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate financial information and risk factors.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to interact effectively with clients and colleagues.
- Attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality work.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Understanding of financial services industry and regulatory standards.
- Full working rights in Australia (Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency).
Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze credit applications from merchants, offering insights and recommendations based on risk assessment and company policies.
- Assist in the credit risk underwriting process, including data gathering and credit bureau checks.
- Engage with clients and stakeholders, providing guidance and support throughout the credit application process.
- Maintain accurate records of credit decisions and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Handle inbound calls, addressing general queries and providing assistance as needed.
- Support daily collection processes and liaise with merchants regarding payment matters.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in credit underwriting.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of credit risk policies and documentation.
- Provide guidance and support to colleagues across the organization on credit risk matters.
- Assist in analyzing portfolio and operational data for strategic decision-making.
