Description:

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2+ years’ experience in healthcare data analytics or related fields
  • 3+ years experience in delivering actionable insights from data
  • Proficiency with SQL or Python and ability to write clear, reproducible code. May be much stronger in one than in the other.
  • Introductory knowledge of Spark or PySpark, and willingness to learn more.
  • Ability to independently pursue and develop solutions to complex problems
  • Effective communication skills
  • Extensive experience with reporting and dashboard tools such as PowerBI, Looker, Tableau, etc.
  • Exposure to standard clinical measures and taxonomies from multiple sources (HEDIS, HCPCS/CPT codes, HCCs, CCS, etc).
  • Strong familiarity with healthcare claims data, and the ability to figure out when the numbers don’t seem correct. Scrappy, eager, positive team player with no ego
  • Strong comfort with working in a fast-paced environment
  • An authentic passion for improving the lives of underserved patients and advancing value-based care

ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • This position is remotely based in the U.S. The hiring manager for this role sits in the Eastern Time Zone, while many of the business partners work on Pacific Time.
  • The total compensation target pay range for this role is: $100,000 to $110,000. The salary range represents our national target range for this role.

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are seeking a highly motivated Junior Data Scientist. You will be looking to leverage your solid healthcare experience and growing technical skills to help us continue to grow our nationally-recognized ACO. This role will report to the Strategy Data Scientist and is available for remote work.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Design and build reporting solutions to inform business decisions, drive operations, measure performance, and suggest actionable next steps.
  • Partner with operations and clinical teams to ensure analytic insights are delivered on time and are useful
  • Develop and maintain data infrastructure, reports and processes that increase efficiency and streamline reporting
  • Partner with teams from across our organization (Operations, Analytics, Corporate Development, Business Development) to execute projects, build workflows, and create processes that will allow our business to grow and scale
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on time-sensitive and strategic operational improvement projects
  • Provide input and contribute to strategic thought on partnerships with external stakeholders and vendors
  • Keep abreast of new developments in healthcare reporting and data protocols.
