Responsibilities:

Our new Junior Designer will be responsible for assisting in the design & development of product across all categories within the Nude Lucy Brand. The role is a blend of design, development, administrative, and hands on tasks which will provide a cohesive and thorough understanding of the creative & development process within a women’s apparel brand.

Your main duties & responsibilities will include the following:

  • Contribute creative ideas and design input to the development of seasonal ranges across multiple categories, in line with the brand vision.
  • Complete extensive research on local and international trends, creative concepts, street style, catwalks, fabrication, textures, trims.
  • Build comprehensive sourcing packs for factories to follow for fabrication and trim sourcing.
  • Produce detailed CADS and technical illustrations using Adobe illustrator inclusive of full front & back views and close ups of specific details.
  • Build detailed Design sheets, working collaboratively with product developers & garment technicians to create comprehensive and thorough techpacks.
  • Liaising with suppliers & factories throughout development to chase sampling ETA’s and provide fabric & trim approval
  • Create & maintain up to date monthly range boards.
  • Manage incoming & outgoing parcels to and from suppliers & or photo studio.
  • Manage and organise 1st proto samples, fabric & trim libraries & factory submissions
  • Set up final collection for range builds & product inductions
  • Write e-commerce descriptions
  • Attend fittings and assisting with organizing samples during fit, and taking/organizing photos.
  • General assistance to product team as and when required
  • Adhering to critical path, meeting design deadlines + working closely with production deadlines.
