J&J Innovative Medicine is currently seeking a Junior EHS Specialist to join our Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) department in our Latina site with a 1 year fixed-term contract.
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented. In this role, you will assist in implementing and maintaining our organization’s EHS programs and initiatives. You will work closely with the EHS team to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and promote a safe and healthy work environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in starting their career in EHS and gaining valuable hands-on experience.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety or Environmental Engineering

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing, implementing and maintaining EHS programs and procedures
  • Support regular inspections and audits to identify and address potential safety and environmental hazards
  • Assist in conducting risk assessments to identify areas of improvements and recommend appropriate control measures
  • Provide support in EHS training initiatives, including preparing training materials and delivering training sessions to employees
  • Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation related to EHS activities
  • Support the calculation of site EHS KPIs
  • Assist in investigating incidents, accidents, and near-misses, and recommend corrective actions to prevent future occurrences
  • Stay up to date with changing EHS regulations and industry best practices and ensure compliance with applicable standards
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote a safety culture and continuous improvement in EHS performance
  • Support the EHS team in various administrative tasks and projects as assigned
