You’ll play a pivotal role transforming our proven mission and brand into a household name for dog owners across the nation.

We are looking for a Junior Finance Manager to join us at this exciting part of our journey, building our brand presence and sharing the benefits of fresh food with pet parents across Germany. You’ll play a pivotal role transforming our proven mission and brand into a household name for dog owners across the nation.
In this role, you will be working closely with the Company’s top management as well as with the international Finance team, being responsible for key accounting and reporting activities, with a focus on a robust control environment that allows us to scale sustainably on the German market.
This role will report to our Head of Finance Europe but it will work closely with a wider range of stakeholders across the business. The role will be seated in Berlin, with a possibility of occasional travels to the UK, the Netherlands or Poland.
Responsibilities:
- Take responsibility for production of period end GER mgmt accounts
- Control the local entity balance sheet (including stock reconciliations)
- Initially process transactions (i.e. posting journal entries to the accounting system)
- Liaise with external advisors to ensure statutory compliance
- Implement local financial controls & processes
- Sign off local payroll monthly alongside CM & local People manager
- Sign off weekly payruns to be approved & paid centrally
- Take the role of a Business partner to Country Manager and support FP&A with budgets & reforecasts:
- Deliver ad-hoc commercial analyses based on current needs;
- Conduct the Core Finance role in GER PBRs;
- Be ready to identify, present and track the key risks & opportunities
