Job Purpose
In the TechnipFMC Subsea Services (Drilling Products Value Stream), we create unique value in the subsea wellhead market by developing and supporting innovative solutions to solve the most difficult challenges. Projects range from conceptual development and validation, stages of prototyping to reduce manufacturing, installation risk, and industrialization of new solutions. We are looking for an engineer with a focus on detailed mechanical design who can join our Drilling Products team in Subsea Services Engineering Department, a part of Global Engineering Center located in Kraków.

Job Description

  • Developing new designs as well as design improvements of Operational Equipment, Tools, and Test Equipment for the subsea drilling product line
  • Creating and updating instructions supporting equipment assembly, testing, maintenance, and offshore installations
  • Creating and updating the drawings such as machining (detailed with geometrical tolerances), assembly, production, welding, general arrangement, stack-up, hydraulic schematics
  • Performing hand-calculations to support design work
  • Presenting to customers and multi-disciplined audiences, conducting design discussion meetings
  • Providing engineering support during processes of procurement, production, assembly and testing of equipment
  • Tracking spends, budget and forecasted costs for personal projects and checking in with supervisor to discuss project status and decisions

You are meant for this job if:

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Machine Design or other related field
  • +0 years of professional experience
  • Experience in 3D CAD Software is required
  • Focus on detailed mechanical design and demonstrated ability to apply engineering practices, design methods & calculations
  • Very good problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to read, interpret and prepare technical designs and documentation
  • Ability to effectively operate in the project team environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Presentation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate in English, orally and through written documentation
  • Willingness to travel occasionally

Skills

Additional Skills

  • Experience in PLM Software (ie. Teamcenter, SAP) would be a plus
  • Oil and Gas Industry experience would be a plus
