Description:
We are currently looking for a skilled and tenacious Junior Manager to play a crucial role in the security industry to maintain the operational efficiency and ensuring adherence to company standards.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Valid A-Grade Psira
- Valid Driver’s License
- Candidate must reside in Cape Town Helderberg Region (Strand, Somerset West, Stellenbosch)
- Grade 12 passed
- No criminal record
- Experience in the Private Security Industry in a managerial role
- Physically fit
- Must be able to communicate in Afrikaans and English (Written and Verbal)
- Neat and Presentable.
- Degree or equivalent and 5-6 years of experience in security.
- Candidates must be able to pass all recruitment checks - aptitude tests, interviews and background checks..
- Operations management as well as proficiency In English and a good knowledge of.
- current BCEA and labour legislation and other legislation relevant to the Security Industry.
- Skills: Negotiation and communication skills.
- Excel/Word - Advanced
- Leadership.
- Presentation skills including power point

Responsibilities:
JOB PURPOSE:
The Manager is responsible for the operational management at all Security Branches including but not limited to the management of Management Systems, the Guard Forces including guards with K9, vehicles , fire-arms , equipment, the safety programs , the budgeting processes and budget control of all the branches, the generation of quotations, site evaluations, preparation for site deployment, the measurements and analyses of sites for improvement as well as the performance of personnel in general and on customer sites .
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To continuously improve the quality of the services and performance of guards and other personnel ( i.e. reduce the number of complaints per guard).
- To meet or exceed objectives and targets specified.
- To improve the productivity of the guard forces and other personnel.
- To improve the profitability of the branches.
- To continuously reduce the expenditure of the branches on all cost items (at least less than budget).
- To continuously reduce maintenance and fuel costs on vehicles as well as fines.
- To continuously reduce the number of customer complaints (number of complaints as a percentage of the number of customers).
- To continuously reduce the number of theft cases and property damage cases at customer sites (number of cases per site).To reduce sick leave (total days sick leave as a percentage of total days worked.
- To increase the number of arrests per guard.
- To have no Contract Breaches
- Minimum of 1 client visits per month per client.
- To reduce the number of incidents and accidents by inspectors and guards (percentage per guard employed ) as well as the number of injuries of all personnel
- Management to ensure above average performance by personnel as well as a service that at least meet customer requirements.
- Regular Branch visits and observations.
- Site Evaluations.
- Client visits and liaison.
- Strategic planning for all operations (branches) including training requirements.
- To ensure the correct and qualitative completion of customer documents and other documents at all branches by daily audits.
- Prevention / reduction of theft or damage of customer property, materials or equipment.
- Client satisfaction / formal investigations of all complaints and written investigation reports to customers by all branches.
- Quality Management System at all branches.
- Vehicle management (maintenance and fuel costs and elimination of fines).
- Ensure Approvals of exceptions / changes to posting sheets for payroll (payment) purposes.
- All Branch expenses including expenses related to vehicles, materials and equipment utilized by the branch (expenses against each cost item in budget).
- Chairman at disciplinary and grievance inquiries.
- Initiation of disciplinary inquiries involving direct reports.
- Responsible for drafting up of roasters.
