Haglöfs is now looking for a Junior PR Consultant. The position is a 100% one year contract, contracted as a freelance consultant.
Haglöfs develops clothing, footwear and hardware for people who invest in an active outdoor lifestyle. Born in Sweden in 1914, Haglöfs has from small-scale backpack manufacturing developed into one of the world’s leading suppliers of technical and sustainable outdoor products by means of modern product development and strategic distribution. With more than 100 years of experience from the outdoors the brand represents high quality and reliability and is frequently awarded for its design and innovation. The Haglöfs brand is primarily marketed to 22 European and Asian markets and the company employs more than 200 people. Haglöfs is owned by LionRock since 2023.
As a Junior PR Consultant for the Nordic market, freelance basis, you will play a key role in supporting our PR and communications efforts. You will work closely with the Nordic Marketing Manager and other team members to enhance Haglöfs’ brand visibility, reputation, and engagement with our target audience. Assist in the development and implementation of PR strategies and campaigns to promote Haglöfs’ products and initiatives in the Nordic market.
Translate and distribute press releases, media kits, and other PR materials to relevant media outlets.
Support marketing manager in building strong relationships with journalists, bloggers, influencers, and other key stakeholders in the Nordic outdoor and lifestyle sectors.
Monitor media coverage and prepare regular reports on PR activities and results.
Support the organization and execution of PR events, product launches, and media briefings.
Administrative support such as handling product orders and samples for ambassadors, product tests, photoshoots, seeding etc.
Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging PR opportunities.
Skills & Requirements
Passion for outdoor activities and an understanding of the outdoor industry is a must.
Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
Previous experience in PR, communications, or a related role is plus, but not required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Swedish and English.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with PR software/tools is desirable.
Social media savvy with an understanding of how to leverage different platforms for PR purposes.
