Description:

WHAT DO YOU NEED?

This is a fantastic opportunity for graduate chemists or early career chemists who are eager to be part of a local organisation that is transforming from research to clinical trials to commercialisation. We are looking for candidates who have a great attitude, an eagerness to learn and develop their radiopharmaceutical skills, and who always strive to do their best to deliver results. This role requires candidates to be highly engaged with organisational safety and compliance management systems, including radiation safety requirements, to ensure that compliance with all applicable regulations is maintained.

Other key requirements of this role include:

  • A tertiary qualification in organic, medicinal or radiochemistry (or equivalent) – graduates encouraged to apply!
  • Hands-on experience with HPLC, MS or similar analytical instruments
  • Knowledge of what GMP means and why it is essential in radiopharmaceutical manufacturing
  • A Queensland Radiation Use Licence would be highly desired
  • Have a proactive approach to working in a small team where no task is too small or too big.

Note that this role involves working with radioactive products in a safe, controlled and regulated environment, candidates must be comfortable working in this environment and committed to maintaining a Queensland Radiation Use Licence (assistance to obtain relevant licences will be provided by the company).
Apply now or, if you have any questions, please contact Dara Singh dsingh@fuserecruitment.com.

Responsibilities:

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

You will be a key team member performing manufacturing processes that focus on two key elements –the Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) and the Investigational Medicinal Product (IMP). As such, each day brings variety as the processes are scaled up to ensure that critical clinical timelines are met. As the company evolves from R&D production to commercial production there will be a need to apply strict GMP guidelines to meet quality and regulatory requirements such as TGA and FDA. Note that some early morning starts and night shifts will be required for this role.

Key tasks of this role include:

  • Perform the manufacture and analysis of radiopharmaceutical APIs and IMPs
  • Conduct in-process and final product quality checks
  • Support the transition and setup of equipment to the new facility (within Brisbane) including validation and verification activities
  • Analyse results and deliver accurate reports on time
