MAIN OBJECTIVES OF THE ROLE

We are looking for a dedicated and motivated Junior Release Engineer to join our dynamic team of professionals who are passionate about software development, continuous integration, and release management.
Holoplot is an innovative company specialising in professional audio systems. We are committed to creating groundbreaking solutions that redefine how listeners experience sound in various environments. We have built the world’s largest audio system at MSG Sphere!

YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand release requirements and priorities.
• Develop and maintain Python scripts that automate various aspects of the release process, enhancing efficiency and accuracy.
• Help maintain and improve our Continuous Integration platform, powered by Jenkins and GitHub Actions, to ensure a smooth and automated build, test, and deployment pipeline.
• Help maintain the testing machines that our CI pipeline uses to build and test our applications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to builds, deployments, and the release process to maintain high software quality.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE

• Proficient programming skills in Python.
• Enthusiasm for learning and adapting to new technologies and tools as required.
• A basic understanding of version control systems, focusing on Git.
• A basic understanding of fundamental concepts related to Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD).
• Familiarity with other programming languages is a plus.
• Prior exposure to CI systems such as Jenkins and GitHub Actions is a plus.
• Experience with containerization (Docker, Docker Compose, Kubernetes) and virtualization technologies (ESXi, Hyper-V) is a plus.
