Description:

Britten Ward
The postholder will provide high quality nursing care working within a cohesive multidisciplinary team.
The expectations within this job description will be met through leadership, hands on clinical practice, education and training, and research.
Britten Ward
Our nurses make a real difference to patients’ lives. Whether you’re providing skilled nursing care to our stroke patients or undertaking clinical tasks, you are there to ensure that patients receive all the care and support they need. You will find that it is a role that is incredibly rewarding.
As a Junior Sister/Charge Nurse you will be highly motivated and hardworking with excellent communication and organisational skills. You will show compassion to our patients who need our care 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, so you’ll need to have the flexibility to do weekend and evening shifts.
In return, we are able to offer a full programme of development for nursing staff interested in progressing their nursing knowledge and skills in the acute medical setting including in-house study days and training courses as well as post graduate degree modules.
Epsom and St Helier
Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust provides a range of medical services to approximately 490,000 people living across southwest London and northeast Surrey. In addition, we provide more specialist services, in particular renal and neonatal intensive care, to a wider area, covering parts of Sussex and Hampshire.
We serve an area that is rich in diversity, with a mix of urban and rural areas, and differing levels of quality of life. We cover some of the most prosperous postcodes in the country, as well as some poorer areas. Together with our colleagues at NHS Surrey and NHS Sutton and Merton, we work to make sure that we deliver the best possible care to the communities we serve.
The Trust employs approximately 5,000 staff across its hospitals and is supported by over 500 volunteers.
