We are seeking a skilled, quick-learning Junior Developer with good initiative and enthusiasm for coding to join our small in-house development team. The ideal candidate will have excellent knowledge of software engineering fundamentals, with expertise in building robust solutions using various technologies and languages - especially Power Platform, with good demonstrable knowledge of either .Net or Java and some experience with XML, REST API and ETL processes highly desirable. As a Junior Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining applications that meet the needs of our organisation. You will report directly to the head of Software Development who will ensure you are mentored and can access training to develop into a Full-Stack Developer here at Active Care Group as part of a personal development roadmap.

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • Understanding of/proficiency in a markup type language such as XML
  • Building Power Apps and Power Automate flows using Power Platform
  • Basic database querying and using SQL
  • Strong experience with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Good knowledge of C# and .NET and/or Java
  • Good knowledge of using APIs and web services to integrate applications.

SOFT SKILLS

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions.
  • Adaptability to learn new technologies and tools quickly.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Provable experience as a Developer/similar role or an excellent portfolio.
  • Certification in relevant technologies is a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements.
  • Design and develop scalable applications and solutions using several languages and packages.
  • Design, build and maintain Power Apps and Power Automate workflows.
  • Implement user-defined forms (UDFs) in our electronic patient record system to enhance system functionality and performance using XML and JavaScript.
  • Working with our in-house expert to learn about ETL processes using our industry leading tools
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices.
  • Troubleshoot and debug applications to resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to incorporate best practices into projects.
  • Participate in the entire software development lifecycle, from concept to deployment and maintenance.
