Responsibilities:

THE ROLE

This opportunity is for a Software Developer to join the DevOps team at Swytch Bike. DevOps is crucial to everything that goes on at Swytch. In DevOps we are on a mission to bring reliable, trustworthy, and timely data to all corners of the business. We work across all departments to assist in their data needs, building pipelines and tools to improve systems and processes.
Our primary system, Swytch Tools, sits at the heart of the business. Built in Laravel you will be responsible for helping to improve the tool, add new features, and expand its use across the business.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build out functionality for our Swytch Internal Tools platform
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Manufacturing, R&D, Marketing, Finance, Sustainability, CS, to build impactful projects and features
  • Champion best practices, continually improving ways of working and building processes and systems within the DevOps team
  • Deliver high quality code and features in a timely fashion, reflecting the fast moving nature of the business
  • Collaborate with 3rd party suppliers to interact with their data systems
  • Balance fast-reaction business requirements against longer term goals
  • Recommend and execute system improvements
  • Verify and deploy software and processes from code to the end user
  • Technically very proficient in PHP (Laravel), HTML, CSS/Sass, JavaScript (Vue.js 3), SQL (MySQL)
  • Knowledge of software management systems (Git, Jira, Confluence, Docker)
  • Experienced in interacting with 3rd party APIs
  • Demonstrable stakeholder management
  • Ability to learn new languages, technologies, and systems
  • Ability to research and define project requirements and dependencies with limited guidance
  • Ability to build and maintain cross-functional relationships
  • Strong communication skills
  • Rewarding salary, we are looking to pay between £35,000 and £40,000 for this role, depending on experience.
