Working closely with our team of Chefs, duties will include:

  • To lead the team in the absence of the Sous Chef and work alongside the Sous chef to manage an efficient and organised kitchen.
  • To work with the Kitchen Team in the creation and development of a food offer that promotes the Rooftop Restaurant, Riverside Café, and Theatre Bars into a leading offer, both at and outside of performance times.
  • To work alongside the kitchen team in the development of food offer and delivery methods for the staff canteen that is high quality, appropriate and operationally efficient.
  • To lead a team in the preparation of food within a section of the kitchen before during and after service ensuring that all work is carried out in a safe, clean, and competent manner.
  • Awareness and control of stock control systems for food for the kitchen, Rooftop Restaurant, Riverside Café, staff canteen and all Theatre Bars.
  • Coaching and development of a team within a section of the kitchen

To be successful in this role you must have:

  • Experience of preparing and leading a section through multiple services.
  • Awareness of all HACCP and H&S issues for that section.
  • A passion for food and a desire to learn.
  • The ability to follow instructions precisely.
  • Up to date food hygiene certificates

We are proud to produce all our food in-house in Stratford-upon-Avon so you can use your skills to create delicious meals within a unique theatre environment.
This is a full-time, permanent position based in Stratford-upon-Avon. You will be working 48 hours per week, five days out of seven. This will include some evening and weekend work.
