QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering/Structural Engineering.
  • Basic knowledge of engineering fundamentals.
  • EIT is preferred.
  • 2+ Years of AutoCAD experience.
  • Working knowledge in structural design software (RISA 3D, AutoCAD, etc.).
  • Strong technical proficiency and knowledge of engineering software tools.
  • Strong sense of urgency and self-discipline to meet client deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with peers and interact with clients.
  • Familiarity with relevant commercial and residential standards and codes.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform engineering calculations for concrete, wood and steel structures for commercial and residential projects.
  • Review and validate engineering designs, calculations, reports and project documents for technical accuracy and compliance.
  • Serve as the primary technical point of contact and engage with clients and external stakeholders, ensuring projects meet client needs and regulatory standards.
  • Work with other engineers and draftsmen and collaborate closely with the project management team to ensure timely delivery and project success.
  • Assist in business development initiatives, including project bidding, proposal preparation, and client meetings.
  • Stay updated with industry advancements, ensuring Beryl remains at the forefront of engineering best practices.
  • Drive innovation and process improvement and support the engineering team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.
