Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Junior Buyer to join our team and help drive our tech accessories department to new heights. As a Trainee Buyer, you will play a pivotal role in sourcing, selecting, and purchasing the best tech accessories for our customers. With loads of real-time learning and development opportunities, these opportunities are great for a self-starters with a good base knowledge of buying or solid buyers’ assistance experience to kickstart your buying career in our dynamic environment!
Our Buying Team are passionate experts in buying and range selection, creating customer-centric product ranges that delivers commercial results whilst exciting our customers! Buying Chapter Members oversee, develop and drive category performance for the business and strengthen our product range and offerings that show up and enhance our customers’ lives everyday!

Build your exposure to our buying process and strategy, start by looking after a smaller category portfolio, working cross-functionally to help develop and implement the strategic and tactical execution of the merchandise plan, work across a mix of suppliers and sourcing offices to build the best range of products – Your work will translate to products that resonate with customers and delivering for the business. Align to the squad’s mission, ensure the right assortment of products and translate the strategy into actionable deliverables to deliver to meet the squad’s mission and commercial goals!

  • Analysing product and market trends (both local and global) and building ranges and promotions that our customers love
  • Delivering on sales and profit
  • Working cross-functionally to help develop and implement the strategic direction

Qualifications
Firstly, you’re as passionate about retail! You’re commercial and customer-centric in your approach - perhaps you’ve had some exposure to buying/category management or supported in a buyers’ assistant capacity and are ready to step forward to manage your own portfolio! You can easily point to a few examples you’ve made sound customer-centric and commercial decisions or understand the levers of products and categories well.

You would thrive in a collaborative and cross-functional working environment, with a real growth mindset for what you do and how you can do it better. Your drive to contribute whilst taking ownership means you work effectively, both independently and collaboratively to deliver your best work and commercial results for the business.
