ABOUT US:

The Corporate Services and Infrastructure supports the whole of the department to deliver positive outcomes for the community through responsive, reliable, and efficient corporate services. Our focus is on providing services that add value and are adaptable to business needs, while maintaining high standards and compliance.

Responsibilities:

At the Dame Phyllis Frost Centre (DPFC), each Justice Officer role specialises in one of four streams – Records/Property, Human Resources, Finance/Stores and Administration. Over time, and with appropriate support and training, Justice Officers may be rotated between these streams to provide career enhancement opportunities to those staff, and operational flexibility to the prison.
The HR Justice Officer will assist with processes related to payroll, rostering, report preparation and recruitment administration.
This position may require direct prisoner contact and may involve weekend and public holiday work, remunerated in accordance with the applicable provision of the VPS Agreement 2020.

Some of your duties will include:

  • Maintaining all personnel and payroll functions for the Dame Phyllis Frost Centre.
  • Processing all salary data and hours worked onto the Time Target Payroll and Rostering System and prepare fortnightly reconciliations against the roster.
  • Processing Work Cover claims under supervision.
