Responsibilities:
The role of Kaitūhono Mahi contributes to the development and implementation of students enrolled on Māori and Pacific Trades Training (MPTT) programmes. This includes building effective relationships with MPTT students and key stakeholders to create apprenticeship and employment pathway opportunities.
Kaitūhono Mahi are dedicated to supporting and mentoring ākonga in their journey to employment. This includes support with navigating challenges or difficulties that may arise along the way and supporting ākonga into further employment or their chosen pathway.
We would like to talk with you if you have demonstrated experience in mātauranga Māori as well as any of the following: working one-on-one with people to provide support, facilitating workshops, creating, implementing, and managing events and collaborating across teams. You will work with Te Kete Manaaki – Student Support teams, Māori Achievement Unit, Faculty and support staff, external stakeholders and te Tiriti partners to improve outcomes for MPTT students.
