Opportunity Summary:
The Key Account Director will be responsible for selling all of Upland Software’s solutions to existing strategic customers and for providing global business leadership and management oversight for these accounts. You will build and maintain key relationships, develop and manage opportunities, and develop a long-term account strategy to maximize cross-sell, and expansion. You will define a CXO relationship strategy within the account, including engaging with Upland senior leadership team for executive sponsorships, coordinating executive business reviews and maintain customer satisfaction.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Identify whitespace in assigned strategic accounts and sell all applicable Upland Software solutions to meet or exceed assigned quota
  • Work across five Upland Software business units to coordinate product-level subject matter experts to help sell the portfolio of solutions
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of your assigned industry/industries such that you can facilitate strategic conversations with C-level executives
  • Create and maintain a strategic account plan for assigned customers to maximize cross-sell and expansion sales.
  • Support renewal activities, as needed, when the Customer Success team needs assistance
  • Develop strategic go to market plans for your assigned business vertical industry.
  • Coordinate activities with marketing to drive the proper demand generation plans.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of eight years of experience in B2B or B2C software-as-a-service (SaaS) sales
  • Proven long-term success selling to large, complex organizations in an enterprise sales motion
  • Highly diligent and committed to creating and maintaining account plans
  • Effective at communicating at an executive level and building relationships throughout a customer’s organization
  • Self-starter who enjoys the autonomy and creativity associated with getting the job done
  • Enjoys interacting with customers, solving complex business problems and creating loyal customers
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Science or related field
  • Ability to travel domestically and occasionally internationally as business needs require
