We are looking for Key Account Manager- Automotive (all genders) for our team!
Job Purpose: Responsible for the overall business development and relationship of assigned customer accounts, including: Sales growth, profitability, relationship development, strategic planning, and forecasting.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • 3+ years of experience working with German OEMs
  • Significant experience in sales/account management with major automotive OEMs
  • Strong negotiation skills in a fast-paced business environment
  • Experience in the battery industry preferred
  • Fluency in English and German
  • Must be located in Germany

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • A basic understanding of the core technology and its benefits, and the identification of its unique selling points
  • A basic understanding of program management, quality, and manufacturing operations
  • Ability to identify and translate customer needs into successful business proposals
  • Excellent contracting, negotiation, and commercial skills
  • Must be a creative thinker who takes full accountability
  • Must be a team player who thrives in a start-up culture with minimal or developing policies and procedures and who is confident in sharing his or her views with all levels of management
  • Must be an outgoing, enthusiastic, and self-motivated individual

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the customer relationship & commercial interface for various OEM customers
  • Execute account plans to penetrate target accounts and solutions
  • Identify opportunities and develop account management plans
  • Drive all customer commercial activities including proposal preparation, pricing, and contract negotiation
  • Communicate customer requirements to product management to support future product planning
  • Identify opportunities and develop account management plans
  • Develop relationships with key decision-makers and align the A123 team with the appropriate level of customer contact
  • Monitor competitive environment
