Location: Worcester or Wolverhampton or Home based work in the UK with travel to customer locations in the UK and Cargill Offices in the West Midlands when needed (Worcester or Wolverhampton). There will be occasional travel within Western Europe on a quarterly basis.
Cargill’s European protein business is a leading supplier and innovator of further processed chicken products for retail, food service and food manufacturing customers. In the Key Account Manager position, you will play a key role in generating sales revenue and positive margins for Cargill’s European protein business.
The role will be involved in developing relations with UK’s largest distributors for the Foodservice market, growing market share and creating value for cooked poultry products to these distributors.
The role will require frequent travel within the UK therefore a full UK driving licence is required. Key Accountabilities
Identify UK Food Service Distributors, develop commercial plans to win and grow these accounts, meeting budgeted growth and profitability
Build relationships with leading UK Distributors through understanding their needs and identifying ways to enhance their business through Cargill’s protein product range
Provide sales forecasts and input into demand plans
Work collaboratively with New Product Development and Marketing teams on new products and promotional activities supporting regional account growth
Partner with Supply Chain and Customer Service teams to ensure the highest standards of customer service
In collaboration with Marketing, develop and deliver promotional activities such as; trade shows, sample presentations, tastings and visits to customer locations
Follow best practice methodology to successfully negotiate ‘win-win’ outcomes for Cargill and the customer
Qualifications
Secondary level education or above
Experience managing, developing and growing relationships with major UK Foodservice distributors
Experience in the poultry industry (preferred) or protein industry - Other categories may be considered
Experience and success in building lasting value-added relationships with customers, with the ability to present effectively and work cross functionally
