In Njord, you will join a team of 16 talented and welcoming colleagues.
Building on a century of experience in vessel optimisation, Njord, a business under Maersk Tankers, helps owners and charterers boost their fleet efficiency and reduce the carbon footprint through a bespoke green tech package.
Decarbonising shipping is a pressing issue and while much is being done, substantial work lies ahead. Driven by environmental concerns and the need to meet stringent regulations, shipowners need to manage the transition to new technologies. As a result, owners are looking to work with a resourceful partner that can assist them in overcoming these constraints – and drive efficiency and cut emissions. Maersk Tankers founded Njord to be that partner.
As our Key Account Manager in Singapore, you will lead Njord’s commercial business development in Far East and be part of a global scale-up business working out of Copenhagen and Mumbai, reporting to the Client Director.
Njord is already working with a broad range of clients, shipowners and charterers, in Far East, hereunder Singapore, Japan and Indonesia.
In this role, you will further develop business opportunities and revenue growth, expand our market share and handle the entire sales process to ensure delivery against key performance metrics, with efficient emphasis on new business sales.
In details, your main responsibilities will be:
Provide account leadership and direction in the pre- and post-sales process.
Conduct sales activities including prospecting and developing opportunities in large/strategic accounts.
Take ownership and organize the sales pipeline in coordination with Njord’s Strategic Partners.
Continuously improve and optimise the sales process.
Generate qualified leads and develop new clients.
Expand general industry knowledge as well as understanding the competing solutions in the market.
Recommend and co-execute marketing strategies.
You will work closely with our team of technical expertise, to ensure an exquisite customer experience reaching revenue goals.

We are looking for a driven, enthusiastic, and experienced individual, coming from the shipping industry, with a well-established network in Far East. You understand service and sales from previous experience, and you can build valuable relationships and get stakeholders engaged.
Understanding the commercial constellations between shipowners, charterers and technical managers in shipping is a must. Having a technical background, being exposed to vessel energy efficiency work is a clear advantage, especially if combined with a solid B2B sales and account management experience.
You are known to be a pragmatic team worker; a strong communicator and you are recognized as a self-starter.
Fluency in written and spoken English is required.
