JOB DESCRIPTION

Reporting to the National Sales Manager – Shell Card, you will manage a large customer base of both commercial and Fleet Management Organisations (FMO’s) Australia wide. The role will see you manage an existing customer base and seek new opportunities from them, as well as securing new customers. You will have autonomy in the role, and be responsible for executing customer sales strategies to deliver Viva Energy’s growth aspirations across our growing retail network. The role will require you to work closely with departments across the organisation, and build strong relationships to unlock value. You will be part of a team that works closely together to leverage knowledge, skills and experience, along with the broader Viva Energy organisation that shares a common purpose, helping people reach their destinations.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Possess a solid understanding of a strong safety culture developed through your experience.
  • Highly experienced sales professional with a proven track record in business development, sales and managing large accounts.
  • Have a strong growth mindset, be highly commercial with experience understanding contracts and pricing, with proven ability to identify new opportunities and maximise growth.
  • Be a strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen to create new solutions for clients.
  • A knack to build and retain relationships with clients, and feel comfortable presenting to senior executives of major companies.
  • An understanding of the Fleet Management Organisation’s would be beneficial but not essential.
  • An understanding and be comfortable working across internal teams, to ensure operational excellence for your customers, displaying a “customer obsessed” attitude.
  • Importantly, you will be forever asking and challenging yourself on how else you can add value to customers and prospects.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing and managing existing customer relationships
  • Managing day to day operational requirements for customers
  • Seeking out and converting growth opportunities
  • Following a strong sales process to achieve your targets
  • Develop Strategic plans for all key customers
  • Commercial accountability to structure deals, including complex negotiations
  • Tender response development and negotiation through to completion
  • Identifying opportunities to meet customer needs (existing and future)
