DESCRIPTION OF DIVISION/BRANCH

You will be part of the Regional Team under the Service Management Division that ensures effective implementation and scale up of KidSTART programme in each region.

QUALIFICATIONS/ COMPETENCIES

  • Qualifications or/and experience in Early Childhood Development, Psychology, Nursing, Social Work, Counselling or equivalent.
  • Passionate and committed to work with caregivers and their children.
  • Empathetic towards the needs and challenges of caregivers.
  • Excellent team player with good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong administrative skill, attention to detail.
  • Customer oriented, good communication and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Able to multi-task, prioritise and has good time management skills.
  • Flexible, nimble and able to adapt to organisational changes typical of start-up organisations.
  • Motivated towards learning and professional development.
  • Willing and able to work on some weekday evenings and weekends.
  • At least 2 years of work experience in the early childhood development or social service sector and familiar with the needs of low income families. Experience in intake and Triage or in call centre operations would be an advantage.

Responsibilities:

  1. Support KidSTART families
  • Provide regular support digitally in the area of well-being checks and sharing of child development/ parenting resources
  • Build rapport with families to develop trust and engagement in KidSTART programme.
  • Conduct relevant screening and ongoing assessment of child development, maternal and family well-being by administering validated assessment tools.
  • Assess needs and risks of children/parents/caregivers to ascertain the intensity and customisation of intervention.
  • Provide customised support, guidance, knowledge and skills to families, build rapport, engage and cultivate a positive relationship with parents/caregivers and enhance parenting capacity and child development knowledge through sharing of digital resources on parenting, impart child development knowledge etc.
  • Participate actively and contribute to discussions in team meetings, programme reviews, supervision sessions, training and multidisciplinary case reviews.
  • Support outreach efforts to reach out and recruit new families to join the KidSTART Programme.
  • Collaborate and partner community and social service agencies (eg. FSCs, SSOs) to provide the necessary support for the families and their children, which includes regular case conferences and discussions.
  • Ensure accuracy of documentation for cases, interventions, etc.
  • Participate in the evaluation and fidelity monitoring of service delivery through consistency in administrative work, provision of data and information on cases in a timely manner.
  • Conduct coaching and mentoring/supervision for new KSPs (Triage and Support) (post of Senior KSPs)
