Embark on a culinary journey with us at our new Japanese Izakaya in the heart of Tanjong Pagar. We are seeking two dedicated Kitchen Assistants to help bring the authentic flavors of Japan to Singapore. This role is ideal for those who have a foundation in F&B services and are eager to further their culinary expertise in a vibrant and fast-paced environment.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in an F&B kitchen setting, preferably with exposure to Japanese cuisine.
  • Passion for food preparation and a keen interest in developing skills in Japanese culinary arts.
  • Strong teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare ingredients and assist with the cooking of dishes according to specific recipes and culinary techniques of Japanese cuisine.
  • Ensure that all dishes are cooked and presented in a timely manner, meeting the high standards of taste and quality expected in Japanese dining.
  • Serve food to customers ensuring that presentation is meticulous and aligns with the restaurant’s standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and order in the kitchen, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
  • Manage food inventory and kitchen supplies, placing orders and stocking items as needed to ensure a smooth operation.
  • Perform routine checks and maintenance of kitchen equipment to ensure functionality and safety.
  • Collaborate with other team members and participate in regular training sessions to enhance culinary skills and knowledge of Japanese cuisine.
  • Support the kitchen team in developing new dishes and menu items.Perform any ad-hoc duties as assigned by the management.
