ABOUT THE ROLE

We are excited to announce our brand-new, modern 65 Bed care home at Oakridge Villas in Kerikeri, is scheduled to open in August/September 2024. We are seeking applications for a highly experienced and passionate Kitchen Manager to set up and lead our Kitchen service. This is a full-time position where you will initially be involved in the set-up of the services and then the recruitment and leadership of a great kitchen team.
This position is responsible for the profitable management of the dining operation and experience, ensuring a welcoming and professional customer experience. You will have the opportunity to make your mark and influence the dining experience and continue to build upon our reputation for food quality and high hygiene standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • Preparing attractive and profitable menus for residents
  • Management and achieving of kitchen costs targets
  • Ensuring the physical dining environment is delivered to a high standard.
  • Creating a culture of self-leadership, creativity, training, and continuous improvement.
  • Meeting all statutory and audit compliance requirements
  • Managing appropriate supplier relationships and purchasing to ensure best practice.
  • Responsibility for the health, safety and wellbeing of self and others within the workplace
