JOB DESCRIPTION

A fabulous opportunity has arisen for a commercial Knitwear Designer to join this leading knitwear supplier to a variety of high street retailers and supermarkets across womenswear. You will be working alongside an established team and reporting into the Head of Design.
They are looking for a team player with trend led handwriting and a passion for knitwear product. Previous experience in a similar role as well as strong CAD skills is required for this role.
Based in vibrant Central Manchester offices, with a lovely team!

• Identify the latest must-have seasonal trends across womenswear knitwear to help design commercial fashion forward knitwear.
• Research fashion trends, producing trend boards, catwalks, and sketches.
• Solid understanding of knitwear garment construction and technicalities.
• Produce detailed CADS & tech packs and liaise with suppliers & factories confidently.
• Ability to translate initial ideas & concepts into commercial designs.
• Attend customer meetings and work to set briefs.
• Manage Sampling and development of critical path.
