Laboratory Assistant

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific field or related discipline.
• Previous experience working in a laboratory setting preferred.
• Knowledge of laboratory techniques, equipment, and procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office.

• Prepare laboratory equipment, instruments, and materials for experiments and research projects.
• Assist scientists and technicians with setting up experiments, conducting tests, and collecting data.
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols to ensure compliance with laboratory regulations and guidelines.
• Perform routine laboratory tasks, such as measuring and mixing chemicals, preparing solutions, and labeling samples.
• Clean and maintain laboratory equipment, glassware, and workspaces to ensure cleanliness and functionality.
• Monitor experiments and record data accurately and legibly in laboratory notebooks or computer databases.
• Assist with inventory management, including ordering supplies, receiving shipments, and maintaining stock levels.
• Dispose of hazardous materials and waste according to established procedures and safety guidelines.
• Collaborate with other laboratory staff and researchers to support ongoing projects and initiatives.
• Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance laboratory skills and knowledge.
