We are looking for a Laboratory Assistant R&D (m/f/d) for our location in Faellanden (Switzerland).
Responsibilities:
- Operation and development of laboratory setups to test magnet coils and to qualify superconducting wires and other materials in cryogenic environment, including analysis, documentation, and presentation of the results.
- Maintenance and support for the laboratory LabView measurement applications.
- Independently plan, organize, and run laboratory experiments in cryogenic environment, according to the requirements discussed with the project leaders.
- Routine maintenance and operation of cryogenic test facilities along with the required equipment normally present in laboratories (e.g. vacuum pumps, high current power supplies, cryostats, etc.).
- Part of the tasks also includes handling of devices and substances with chemical and electrical hazards, complying with the quality and safety goals of Bruker.
Qualifications:
- Completed training as laboratory technician (or comparable relevant experience or university degree) in the field of cryogenics and superconductivity
- Basic knowledge and experience with LabView and/or Python programming is a plus. Willing to further develop these skills on the job.
- Basic knowledge of electronic circuits and inorganic chemistry
- Good experience in the field of vacuum technology and cryogenics is an advantage
- Pragmatic and efficient way of working
- Willing to work conscientiously, independently and as a part of a team.
- Good knowledge of MS Office
- Good knowledge of German and English languages
