About The Job
As a member of our R&D team, you would be part of my our short/long term strategies related to membranes production, innovation, sustainability, sharing and customer/market needs, we are thrilling to drive you towards our goals by using your high potential scientific mindset. You will join the R&D team consisting of five people in Nakskov, where you will be the number six. Your tasks are:
- Maintain all laboratory instrument and updates operation manual of all instruments.
- Maintain chemicals data sheet, purchase of chemicals according to lab-based production. ATEX understanding and chemical storage requirements knowledge.
- Design and development of Lab based experiments according to the requirements. Method development of analysis. New instrument purchase documentation and CBA development.
- Ensure that the choice of chemicals and production method is in line with Alfa Laval sustainability targets.
- Communicate the progress of work to the organization through R&D reports and presentations.
The position is based in Nakskov where you will report to the R&D Manager. At Alfa Laval, we offer a hybrid work model with the opportunity to work from home when it fits with your tasks. Travel will be meetings in Søborg and Lund, and 1-3 international conferences a year.
What You Know
We expect you to have a master’s degree in chemical engineering/polymer chemistry. You are a talented person with a solid skillset within R&D related to polymer chemistry and/or membrane separation technology. Furthermore, you should have experience in running projects, reporting, and doing lab-based experiments. Indeed, we are expecting you to be a team player and a problem-solver, supporting our research activities in collaboration with the R&D team, Production, Test Centre, Sales, Marketing and Product Management departments. You are fluent in English, and you thrive working in an international environment.
