Embedded in the team of the global company Cargill, Delacon researches, develops and produces natural feed additives for poultry, pigs, ruminants and aquaculture at the Engerwitzdorf site (Linz area).
Job Purpose and Impact
The Laboratory Lead will lead workers and tasks in quality assurance. In this role, you will conduct audits and inspections to ensure compliance with established quality standards. You will work with senior staff to address customer requirements and concerns, as well as collaborate on audits. The place of the work is Engerwitzdorf, Austria. The position is an onsite job. Key Accountabilities
Conduct visual and physical inspections of company products and materials, helping team members interpret quality standards. Monitor the performance of the quality control staff and ensure that the department meets organizational objectives. Review the work of analysts or inspectors that collect data identifying potential quality failures, evaluate quality of raw materials or components, in progress goods, processes or operations. Monitor and evaluate current testing processes and make recommendations for improvements when necessary. Develop, implement and assess processes and policies designed to test products and services. Lead and develop a team, coach and make decisions related to talent management, hiring, performance, and disciplinary actions. Other duties as assigned Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience Advanced technical knowledge related to quality assurance and food safety concepts Fluent German and English language skills Minimum of four years of related work experience
Preferred Qualifications Advanced computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Word, Access, PowerPoint, Excel) Two years of supervisory experience Previous project management experience. Previous supervisory experience in quality assurance, food safety, food manufacturing, regulatory, or related field. You can expect:

For legal reasons, we would like to point out that a basic salary of 3512 € gross per month (based on a 38-hour week) is provided for this position. The actual remuneration depends on training, experience and individual skills and can therefore be higher.
