Job Description

  • This position provides administrative support in material management to the Quality Control Department. The incumbent must be capable of multi-tasking to meet the departmental needs working with Department Manager on a regular basis.
  • Receiving laboratory standards and ensures delivery correctness
  • Serve as the primary owner of the Standards tracking and management system using electronic laboratory Information Systems (LIMS)
  • Updating standard database in LIMS by adding new or removing expired / used up standards
  • Responsible for removing expired standards from shelves to keep accurate inventory
  • Performing standards inventory
  • Informing clients about their upcoming expiring reference standards
  • Liaise with the United States Pharmacopeia (USP) and European Pharmacopeia (EP) organizations and such, on regular basis to ensure Reference Standards database is regularly updated.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of University Degree in Science.
  • Minimum 1-year experience in a technical role would be an asset in a pharmaceutical laboratory environment
  • Prior technical experience in a chemistry related role would be preferred.
  • Must be able to read, understand and follow work instructions / Standard Operating Procedures in a safe, accurate and timely manner.
  • Candidates must be proficient in using various type of computer software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook etc.) and be able to demonstrate good keyboarding skills.
  • Must be highly organized and able to work effectively and efficiently in a demanding environment with frequently changing priorities.
